Physics Recitation today started with Dr. Bierman walking in and, without preamble, drawing a graph on the blackboard. Obedient physics students that we are, most of us have out notebooks and half start copying the same graph. On the x axis, time, running from 8 AM to noon, to 8 PM to midnight. On the y axis he writes, "Dr. Bierman's Voice" and draws a rather forlorn looking downward sloping curve.
Then he croaks, "No recite today, I'm afraid."
Someone asks, "...I don't get it. Are we finding the area under the curve?"
"Haha. No, it's the resultant graph of germ-caused impulse. I have thirty minutes of voice today, and I'm saving them for the test review session tonight. Class dismissed."
I walked out, immorally gleeful. I saw a t-shirt emblazoned, "My IQ test was returned negative," which amused me inordinately, and then walked back to my dorm only to meet Chris, by himself on the grass outside Hopkin's house, practicing handstands. I ask why, he tells me he's practicing to be the best hand-standing dance minor on campus. I tell him how cool and peculiar he is. He says thank you.
A good morning.
EDIT: And I changed my layout. Not very individualized, unfortunately, but fairly aesthetic. I less than three livejournal. To pieces.
