So, it turns out that eye drops are grossly mis-marketed. Eye drops don't actually help your eyes. They make your eyes drier. Visine drops are, although cleverly marketed as 'rewetting' drops, designed to constrict the blood vessels in your eye, which reduces redness. However, as non-red as your eyes will become, it will also result in extra dryness, and a burning sensation, and possibly repeated instances of waking up in the morning unable to see because your eyes are so damn dry.
What you want, actually, are the $15 Carboxymethylcellulose drops. They're weird, I will admit. It looks like a drop, but then kinda turns into a weird jelly on your eye. Feels nice, though.
This is, of course, just a public service announcement. Don't be seduced by Visine. They're only after job security.
