I forgot my laptop power adapter and also my cell phone charger at school. Luckily, my dad has the same kind of computer and my mom the same kind of cell phone, so I'm not entirely auto-incommunicato (out of the communications loop through my own fault?). The lesson here is: don't drink and pack. I swear I put the computer cords in my bag.
Hm. Hope I didn't pack them and simply lose them somewhere. I'd be computerless. One more errant worry to keep me up knights. Knight errant. Ha. And speaking of the absence of segues, in an email from my GEP prof, he wrote, "Exam 2 questions are now posted. Happy spring break." I... I honestly can't tell if that was just a thought-jump, or if he was being cruelly humorous.
And I bought an espresso machine on eBay for ten dollars. I plan to take it to school with me and set up shop, undercutting Starbucks with poorly crafted coffee beverages for a quarter of their price. True, my imaginary business can't offer the art-industrial lounge spaces, but you can't really socialize at a Starbucks anymore, anyway. They're impossibly busy. But for a caffeine fix in mismatched mugs, I'll be there. If nothing else, by the end of the semester it will have paid for itself just by keeping me away from the cafes.
And that is my news.
