Mar. 7th, 2006 02:47 pmBwaha. I'm holding the cold at bay with sheer willpower (okay...DayQuil too), and so far it's just been an embarassingly runny nose and predilection for convulsive sneezing.
I downloaded most of the Moulin Rouge soundtrack, and have been smiling at "Elephant Love Medley" for the last half-hour or so. It's like a custom made cure for music ADD. Funny how it was almost difficult to write 'rouge' instead of 'rogue.' I'm too well-conditioned. I really can't believe how long I went without seeing that movie--suddenly, so many references make sense. And I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one to see 'poetry readings' in a suspicious light (oh, Delion...)--chicken or the egg?
You are a bit scattered today, aren't you, Brain? I thought so. The background chatter is making it a bit difficult to think properly about the Enlightenment and Romanticism and stuff.
It suddently just started raining heavily, at a slant, and the bushes under my window are quivering. There, it stopped in the time it took me to write that sentence. I miss having my window in front of my computer--not that I can't type with my head turned to watch the weather (which is what I'm doing right now, funnily enough)--oh, hail!
I can't hear it, though; the roof is too far away.
Nevermind. I think it's actually sleet.
Tuesday of midterms week, and I can't bring myself to care about homework. Bad timing. Oh, well.
I like the sidewalks on campus. They are paved very unevenly, and when it rains, the water puddles like anything, and then the sun comes out and you can look down to see the tree branches against the sky, and below the sky are the crooked pavers.
My computer refuses to work properly now for more than eight hour stretches without being restarted.
