Nov. 6th, 2005 11:16 amI'm developing a peculiar resistance to checking my school mail account, which is odd considering my usual enthusiasm for anything message-oriented. The route: Yahoo!Mail, Livejournal, deviantArt (a recent addition), Facebook, and even Gmail sometimes, and then... Zagmail.
Generally I sign in, take a look at the ten or so unread messages sitting there, and close the browser. I can't bring myself to open those messages. They're notices addressed to the entire school, for the most part--possibly it's the uncaring generic nature of them that turns me away. Maybe I just want a real note from a real person with me in mind, although that sounds slightly selfish when phrased just that way. Then there are also the notices from various clubs and activities with me on their mailing list, and guilt makes me leave them alone, since I never attended the first few meetings and now probably never will, out of sheer awkwardness.
So they sit there, unopened, and I move on to homework.
Welcome to Sunday morning.
