Sep. 6th, 2005 04:22 pmI've found myself becoming a quasi-vegetarian ever since starting at university two weeks ago. Not because of any intellectual enlightenment, nor thanks to my economics or philosophy classes.
Mostly it's because cafeteria food sucks, and make-your-own salads is nearly the only thing not disguised in a weird sauce.
I crave protein. I want to eat something that was once a living animal! Is that so much to ask??
The worst day came when I stood in line for five minutes to get a Chinese Chicken Salad, took it back to my table practically slavering for non-fried-chickeny goodness, I was so hungry, and discovered... there was no chicken in my salad. There weren't even any of those funny white noodles that I saw them adding to some of the salads. It was just vegetables.
I could have killed someone. And then eaten them.
